- 350-400 grams of flour
- 150 grams of salted cheese
- 100 grams of fresh cream
- 70 grams of butter
- 20 milliliters of warm water
- 5 grams of fresh yeast
- 1 egg
- a bit of honey
For the topping
- 1 egg yolk
- grated cheese
Mix the cheese with the egg, the melted cooled butter and the fresh cream.
Separately mix the fresh yeast with the water and the honey.
Add the yeast in the cheese composition and mix until well incorporated.
Incorporate the flour little by little until you have a non sticky dough. Let it rest for 1 hour in a warm place.
Divide the dough in 2 equal pieces and repeat the procedure below with each of them.
Spread the dough on the table. Beat the egg yolk kept for the topping and brush it over the dough. On top add some grated cheese.
Now, cut thin stripes of dough and twist each one of them for a nice look.
Put them in an oven tray covered with baking paper.
Bake the sticks at 180 Celsius degrees for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
