If you want to eat something before 8.30 when the restaurants open, this is the only option.

The pizza was almost decent. Too salty for our taste, but at least it seemed to have been made on-the-spot.

Don´t expect too much, just a short walk.

Calabria in a few pictures

From what we´ve seen, Calabria is a poor region and with many places left in ruin.

If you travel by car though, you will be delighted to see lots of olive and orange groves.

Small center, but nice and lively with great views over the sea.

Trip to Pizzo, Italy

Known for its tartufo, it´s a lovely small town close to the sea.

Quite difficult to find a parking place on a sunny Sunday.

It´s not just an ice cream, it's one of the best ice creams we´ve ever eaten in Italy. We found it only in Pizzo unfortunately, at Eur 5 per tartufo.

Nice historic center. Such a pity that the castle was closed.
