Tart with half apples - recipe with step-by-step photos

Ingredients for the dough (20x20 cm):
  • 350 grams of wheat flour
  • 200 grams of butter at room temperature
  • 2 spoons with sugar
  • 1 spoon with cold water
  • a bit of salt
Ingredients for the filling:
  • 250 grams of fresh cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 big apples
  • 3 spoons with sugar
  • a bit of salt

Prepare the dough:
Mix the butter at room temperature with the flour, the sugar, the salt and the water.

Make a non sticky dough and, if necessary, add more flour until you have a firm dough. Put the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes.


Prepare the filling:
Beat the eggs with the sugar and the salt for 5 minutes.

Add the fresh cream and beat for another 10 minutes until well incorporated.


Assembly of the tart:
Spread the dough on the table. Add the dough in a high oven tray (those for pies, as in the photo below).

Clean the apples and cut them in cubes on the surface (not through).

Place the apples on the dough and then pour the filling.


Bake it at 180 Celsius degrees for a bit more than 1 hour or until the filling is compact and well done.
