Slow cooking chicken pot - recipe with step-by-step photos

Ingredients:
  • 1 kg of chicken meat
  • 500 grams of zucchini
  • 500 milliliters of water
  • 150 milliliters of bell pepper juice
  • 20 grams of butter
  • 9 potatoes
  • 7-8 cloves of garlic
  • 7-8 shallots
  • 5 tomatoes
  • 4 spoons with olive oil
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 2 big onions
  • 1 eggplant
  • 1 laurel leaf
  • a bit of cumin powder
  • a bit of paprika
  • a bit of thyme
  • pepper
  • salt



In a pot add the olive oil and the chicken meat and let it fry at medium fire for a few minutes until golden.


Take out the meat and add in the pot half of the crushed garlic, 1 chopped onion, the shallots, the pepper, the paprika, the salt, the thyme and the laurel leaf. Let it cook for a minute.


Add the chopped vegetables (eggplant, zucchini, bell peppers, tomatoes), the bell pepper juice and 300 ml of water. With a wooden spoon mix everything for a minute.
 

Add back the meat above the vegetables, cover the pot and put it in the preheated oven at 150 Celsius degrees for 3.5 hours.

Uncover the pot 15 minutes before turning down the oven and let everything get a nice color.


Grease another pot with half of the butter, add the sliced potatoes, then the remaining butter, the remaining sliced onion and crushed garlic, the cumin powder, 200 milliliters of water, cover the pot and put it in the oven at 180 Celsius degrees for 40-50 minutes.



Serve the potatoes next to the chicken and vegetables.
